The Internet Is Full Of Lies
In an attempt to severely localize Wikipedia vandalism, Web cartoonist Ryan North has proposed that the online encyclopedia might allow all suggested factual inaccuracies specifically in the article on chickens. Thus, Wikipedia would ostensibly cover every topic in the universe except chickens because, as the site linked here explains:
Dudes already know about chickens. Ladies also already know about chickens. Does an encyclopedia really need an article about nature’s tastiest birds? You know the answer is “no it most certainly does not”.
You may find it worth your while to read Ryan’s argument in greater detail.
What Ryan may be unaware of, however, is that another solution exists: Uncyclopedia, which looks enough like Wikipedia that it can probably fool your friends at first glance, but contains nothing but sweet, sweet lies. Here you can learn that “Water Polo … With Sharks! is the hardest game to play, bar none,” among other lies begging for your contributions.
