Indiana Jones 4 to start filming in June
After turning down a script from Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), Lucas, Spielberg and Ford have settled on a screenplay for Indiana Jones 4 by David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man) which will acknowledge Indy’s *ahem* advanced years. Said Ford:
“I’m delighted to be back in business with my old friends…I don’t know if the pants still fit, but I know the hat will.”
The movie, expected to hit theaters in 2008 is still unnamed (Opal of the Mer-man Prince, please please please please) but will end a nineteen year absence for the franchise. Though we all know what happened the last time George Lucas took a break that long. On the upside, Lucas reputedly said that they would write in a part for Sean Connery as Henry Jones, Sr. “whether he wants to do it or not.” He’s just such a people person.

I hope they pick a female romantic lead that isn’t too young. If there’s a yong woman I think it would be great if he had an illegitimate daughter that tracked him down. Let’s face it, he’s likely to have a few of those.
