Watch FFXII Without Having to Wark For It

If you’re anything like me, you enjoy watching impressive computer animation featuring airships, knights riding on giant chickens*, and things with rabbit ears that shouldn’t have rabbit ears—but you don’t enjoy playing video games that substitute menu-navigation for action. I know many such people, and their strategy is often to lovingly force a significant other to play through the Final Fantasy games for them. My girlfriend is more of a pinball/Pikmin fan, though, so I must resort to other measures, like stumbling upon web sites that feature all the FFXII cut scenes as videos.

It’s an odd experience, watching the videos and not seeing what happens in between. It provides a fairly relaxing distraction between the readings I’m doing for my comprehensive exam, though.

  • I apologize for the chocobo onomatopoeia pun in the title. It was for Hamed, who used to give piggy-back rides while going “wark wark!” Rest in peace**, Hamed, wherever you are.***

** Hamed is not really dead.

*** Hamed is in Pittsburgh. And sorry, Caralyn, for poorly mimicking your footnote-laden writing style.
