Picking the Right Font

In a world with thousands of fonts and just as many graphic designers who’ll sneer at you for using Comic Sans, how do you justify using a particular typeface? Michael Bierut has the answer. Less experienced designers may wish to try sticking with rule #1 for practice for just a bit. (And Ellen Lupton throws out some specific fonts to match up with Michael’s reasoning.)
