Short Food Review: Brett & Sam’s Gourmet Cookies

These cookies suck. They’re twice as expensive (per unit of weight) than Famous Amos cookies, which I adore, but they happen to come in a box with a tapered top (like it’s a bag, I guess) and they have a picture of a couple little cartoon baker fellows. Also, they purport to be “gourmet.” My girlfriend has a knack for picking up really good, little cookies in funny-shaped packaging, and I could swear those also claim to be “gourmet,” so I figured this was a safe bet. No: This is slightly improved Chips Ahoy(!), but sporting the rhetoric of something that one might eat with a cup of chai tea. Go buy some Famous Amos instead, which are not only tastier, but are conveniently bite-sized so you can just drop them into milk and fish them out with a spoon.
