[The following is presumably a spam comment caught by our filters. However, we found it too hilarious not to share with you, especially as it originated from the same IP address as the preceding comment.]

Just plain stupid. The moron that came up with these deserves to get fired from that silly company. I took one bite and all toppings were on my plate. Great idea el paso. If I want to eat a taco salad, i'll make one. I'd prefer not to have to eat one because of some shit for brains attempt to move up the ladder at this crappy company by coming up with an idea I couldve come up with while hammered

Without exaggerating the issue, the Stand and Stuff taco is perhaps the greatest invention since the wheel.

Clearly the people that claim to have difficulty eating are ridiculous morons. I've been eating solid foods regularly since the age of 2 and had no problems. If you have a similar track record for eating you should be fine.

Flavor wise, they are on par with any other store bought hard taco shell.

However, where the SST wins out is in its ability to stand up on the plate. Toppings need to be applied one at a time anymore. They will not fall and crack open.

The creator of the SST should be awarded the Nobel peace prize, as I think it's more than likely it will someday bring an end to all wars.

Frequently, attention to the needs of consumers is muddled with attention to what consumers are asking for. I'm sure that in some focused study, somewhere, Old El Paso determined that msot people wanted a taco that would stand up so not to be so difficult to eat. And they were right. Most people would want a cleaner taco.

But most people are stupid. They don't consider the actual needs of taco-mouth interfacing, and are largely unfit for determining their own eating needs.

Also tacos are made with soft tortillas. And they include cilantro, if you are the sort of person who doesn't hate life.

You are all wrong,
Jacob

DoomBot Presents SourCream & Onion Taco Shells or Margarita Flavored Taco Shells with a hint of Lime.

(I, for my part, can't stand hard taco shells...I'd much rather just make nachos with taco filling on top.)

"They remain just about the only food stuff that does not come in a variety of flavors at this point. I think the taco companies are missing out on a great opportunity."

Despite your librarian shell you clearly have the soul of a ruthless CEO. It is aberrant ideas like these that brought about green and purple ketchup.

I can't tell you how pleased I am that not only did our site feature a taco shell review, but it garnered a thoughtful comment as well. I'm not sure why this comment was marked for moderation, but I'm glad I had the honor of approving it myself.

I had a similar experience with these taco shells. They were certainly easier to fill with the proper taco ingredients than your standard shell, but that was the only mark in their favor. Their extra girth made eating far more difficult and much of the filling wound up on my plate making the shell insufficient for its purpose.

However, I do think there is room for a little improvement in taco shells. They remain just about the only food stuff that does not come in a variety of flavors at this point. I think the taco companies are missing out on a great opportunity.
