Max Payne 3 Announced
A third video game in the Max Payne series is due out next winter which is exciting, though I was taken back somewhat by part of the description provided by developer Rockstar games:
“This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.“
I’m all for a new Max Payne game, but can Max Payne really experience a “downward spiral” in his life following the story of the first two games which feature his wife and child being murdered by junkies, finding himself on the hit list of both the Italian and Russian Mafias (as well as shadowy corporations and government conspiracy groups that control those mafias), and being left for dead twice (once each game, future bad guys take note!) in his pursuit of vengeance?
I’m just saying maybe Max Payne 3 should see him at a desk job and be made up of some some really great mini games about filing paperwork and filling out forms.
